Focus on Your Mental and Emotional Side to Gain Self Improvement

Not everyone believes this but the emotional and mental aspects of a person, when combined, leads to better self improvement.

Emotions love to dominate our actions and reactions, even though we do not want it to happen sometimes. The society often see emotions as a sign of weakness, so people are used to putting them aside and focusing on the rational aspects more and more.

No matter how strict and logical you may be, you will always feel. One way or another, someone or something will get through you.

Positive emotions are a lifelong goal for many of us concerned about emotional health and self improvement. What is more important; the amount of money you made during your life or the times you laughed out of sheer joy?

People tend to put their positive emotions behind their negative feelings. This is one of the biggest problems that people come across during their lives.

There is no clear way to ignore a negative experience and try to replace it with a positive one. Life just does not work that way.

For example, when you were a child, if your goldfish dies, you would be heartbroken. Your parents will probably buy you another goldfish but the sorrow is still there.

Things get even more complex when you become an adult. A fight with your spouse the night before will affect your entire day. You will go to work angry, tired, and your mind will wander. On the way home from work you will not notice the sun shining and you would not be tempted to stop at a roadside stand to pick up some fresh fruits and vegetables.

All this because that one negative thought has contaminated the way you perceive the reality around you.

In this moment you will realize finding a safe place to relax your mind will do wonders for your emotional and mental improvement.

That place is relatively easy to find. It can be an actual place or an imaginary location. The best idea is to totally lose yourself in it.

Let us say you have a problem on your mind and it just would not go away. Go bowling. Do not know how? Just give it a shot.

Get caught up in the game. Your mind will drift away from the negative thoughts that dominated your last hours or days and start processing a whole new kind of information.

A safe haven can take many forms. It can be a song, a movie, even a person or animal. The main thing is allow yourself to get completely involved with this new activity.

You might still get flashes of the problem every now and then. Ignore it and get even more absorbed in what you are doing.

When the bowling game, the song, or the movie ends you will abruptly return to reality. You will probably want to retreat back to the safe place. Do not do it.

The safe place exists only as a helping hand, not as a solution to your life's problems, may it be a small or big. It serves only as an escape route.

You will return from your safe zone with an increased energy level. You will feel better about yourself and gain more confidence. You will see that any issue can be resolved.

This is how a small escape from a harsh reality can increase your emotional and mental health. Try to do this often and you are on your way to better self improvement.

If You Feel Better, Your Brain Performs Better

It has been said that through meditation, you are able to calm not only your body but your mind as well. It may sound too difficult to try, however, there are ways to make meditation as simple as possible. This article for those who are hesitant to meditate because of the perception that meditation is a difficult process. It may be true that in order to perfect your meditation skills you need to practice it for years, however, you can still begin with the simplest relaxation techniques. This will surely make you feel better, your brain relaxed a little and your whole being is rejuvenated.

Meditation is a good way to reduce stress; and as you all know, we can think better if we are not stressed. As many researches have pointed out, you can suffer from brain damage if you are exposed to constant stress. Now, isn’t meditation just the right boost to your brain power?
Through mediation, your concentration will be strengthened, thus you can fully focus on any mental activity that you are working on. So you should learn to control your mind and use it efficiently for your own goals, do this by starting with breath techniques moving further to simple meditation.

Breath Watching

Find a spot where you can sit and relax comfortably. There, give close attention to your breathing for a few seconds. Basically, you just have to clear your mind for a moment and have a quiet time on your own. Here are a few tips to assist you.

1) Find your spot

Since you are only a beginner, you may want to find a quiet place where you can meditate. As you become more expert in meditation, you will notice that you can already meditate anywhere you want to. For the mean time, find a spot where you can feel at peace.

2) Be comfortable

Look for your position which will keep you at ease but not asleep. For most people, crossing their legs is their meditation position. If you are the kind of person who can lie down without falling asleep, you may also try lying down for this may be your most comfortable position. Just keep yourself perfectly still and comfortable but not asleep – this should be your meditation position.

3) Let Go of the Tension

Observe which part of your body is most tensed. You should learn how to tense up those parts and then release the tension in such part. You may experience the release as your body begins to be drained from all the tension. If you repeat the process, you will later on learn how to relax easily.

4) Breathe properly

Breathe properly through your nose. In doing so, the air can easily pass through your lungs. You may notice that your diaphragm, abdomen and chest expand more when you breathe through your nose. This is how you should breathe.

5) Pay attention

There may be instances when your mind may be disturbed by other thoughts, but you should always remind yourself to go back into paying special attention to your breathing. With constant reminder, the thoughts that may disturb you will soon fade away.

You may want to perform this meditation for at least five minutes. And then as you practice it more and more each day, you may want to perform it for a longer time. You should then be able to realize that these meditations can really help you clear your mind and increase your focus. By feeling better, your brain also performs better.

What surrounds you?

What surrounds you

The things that surround you can exert a powerful influence on you.

And you can use that influence to your advantage.

Surround yourself with positive influences.

Let them serve as subtle and constant reminders to be your very best.

Arrange your physical environment so that it encourages and promotes focus and creativity.

Choose to spend your time surrounded by things that lift you up.

Get yourself around people who will reinforce the values and goals you consider to be most meaningful.

Spend time with people who challenge you to be your best.

Seek out situations that enable you to connect with and fulfill your most deeply held purposes.

Learn which surroundings inspire you most, and find a way to spend time in them.

Though it is certainly possible to flourish in spite of your surroundings, life proceeds much more smoothly when your environment exerts a positive influence.

Surround yourself with the best you can imagine, and it will start to get to you.

"Why Do Some Affirmations *Work* - and Others Don't?" - By Jeff Staniforth

"Why Do Some Affirmations *Work* - and Others Don't?"
- By Jeff Staniforth

By definition, an affirmation is a statement repeated time and
again either verbally or mentally -- or written down. The words
of the affirmation statement - in themselves -when spoken,
thought of, or written *without* a pictorial (visualized) or
emotional connection -- make a very weak affirmation.

Affirmations, when worded correctly -- and when emotionally
charged - are able to tap into the unlimited creative power of
your subconscious mind
, and manifest your desires.

Affirmations are not all created equal.  Some are, of course,
better than others.  There are *power affirmations* that have
been proven again and again to work - and I'll reveal some of
them in a moment.

When you examine the structure of these power affirmations, you,
too, can learn how to create your own powerful affirmations for
your specific purposes.

Consider the following:

"I am what I choose to be."
"All my needs are met instantaneously."
"I love and accept myself exactly as I am."
"_____________ comes to me easily and effortlessly."
(Fill in the blank with what you desire.)
"I am now perfectly healthy in body, mind and spirit."
"I now create my wonderful, ideal life."

What do the above power affirmations have in common?

1) They're stated in the present tense.

An affirmation is more effective when stated in the present
tense. For example; "I now have a wonderful job." Avoid affirming
something in the future tense, e.g. "I am going to have a
wonderful job" or the results will always be waiting to happen.

2) They express a positive statement.

Affirmations need to be stated in the most positive terms
possible.  Avoid negative statements.  Affirm what you do want,
rather than what you don't want. For example: "I am no longer
sick." This is a negative statement.  Instead, affirm:  "I am now
perfectly healthy in body, mind and spirit." This statement is
much more powerful as it is positive and reinforces your desired
goal and doesn't confuse your subconscious mind with the mention
of the undesirable condition.

3) They're short and specific.

Short affirmations are easy to say, and have a far greater impact
at the subconscious level than those which are long and wordy.
Keeping them specific and to the point adds power as the idea is
uncluttered by extraneous elements.

The mechanics that make affirmations powerful are:

* Repetition
The importance of repetition cannot be overemphasized. It
imprints the affirmation into your subconscious mind.

* Emotions
Get involved, be passionate, and use your emotions. Think
carefully about the meaning of the words as you repeat them
rather than just writing, typing or saying them.

* Persistence
Practicing affirmations with persistence achieves results much
sooner than practicing them periodically.  Successive sessions
will have a compounding effect.

* Belief
You don't necessarily have to believe your affirmation initially,
in order for it to work.  Belief will grow with your forthcoming
successes. What you do need is the ability to *feel* what it
would be like when the desire you're affirming is fulfilled, or
your need met. Every time that you have a need -- and that need
is met -- a certain "feeling" is produced in you.  You need to
evoke that same feeling when you state your affirmation. In other
words, you need to feel with every fiber of your being that what
you desire has already happened.  Without this feeling, your
affirmation is powerless.

* Impress Yourself
Personalize your affirmations. They must *resonate* with you --
feel right for you. The stronger your connection with the
affirmation, the deeper the impression it makes on your mind, and
the sooner you will experience positive results.

So there you have it - the simple formula for creating
affirmations that work.  Based on the above, you can easily
create your own affirmations to manifest any desire or need you
have in life.

TIP: Although the practice of affirmations is easy, some people
find it challenging to repeat the affirmations continuously while
maintaining the highly charged emotional state necessary in
making affirmations work.  DID YOU KNOW... that you can use your
computer to make the affirmation process effortless - and that
you can automate those challenging aspects (such as maintaining
highly charged emotions), and thereby, manifest your desires more
quickly? Go to Affirmware to find out
how.

How To Maximize Motivation

Recently people have been using something new to enhance their levels of motivation, and are reporting brilliant results.

Do you sometimes struggle to stay motivated? Perhaps you find it difficult to do things you don't really want to - eating right, working out regularly, studying math, perhaps you find it difficult to get motivated at work?

Sometimes we are more motivated than others. A common scenario is that you make plans to start a new project - whether it be a diet, an exercise routine, taking up a new hobby . In the first place your are hyped up, enthusiastic, and eager to get started. You feel supercharged basically and things start off well. The end result is vivid in your mind and the excitement drives your motivation - whatever it is; a flat tummy, or a pay rise, or a high grade in an exam.

However, as time goes on the project is no longer new, it is not exciting anymore, and progress is slower. You find yourself becomming less and less motivated.

What if we could stay motivated - maintain that higher level of buzz and drive we have at the start of a new project right throughout - well this can be a reality!

More and more people are turning to subliminal audio as a tool to help increase levels of increase your levels of motivation and stop procrastination before it gets any worse.

Subliminals used to be quite rare, and not fully understood, but they are quite simple really. They basically work as a mild form of hypnosis, and instead of entering a trance the subliminal messages reach your subconscious mind naturally - without you even being aware of them.

You'll never hear any audible phrases because they are moved to a higher audio frequency which only your subconscious mind can intercept. Then it processes them and stores them exactly like it would with any other information, gradually the subliminal statements really start to build within your subconscious mind and gradually make lasting changes to your self beliefs and perceptions - and in this instance to how naturally motivation comes.

Some people will advise you all sorts about subliminal messaging, about how it works and how it needs to be used, but it is no more complicated than that basically.

Subliminal audio is especially good at making changes to motivation. It is because motivation is essentially goverened by our subconscious mind - if you are motivated in one area you'll be able to make use of that into all other areas of your life, so by adjusting the subconscious mind on a deep level you reprogram your base levels of motivation and this spills over inot all areas of your life.

The Universal Law Behind the Golden Rule by Tony Mase

In Chapter 7 of the book of Matthew, Jesus is quoted as
saying:
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do
to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the law and the
prophets."
When Jesus made this statement, he wasn't just teaching his
followers a religious rule...
He was teaching his followers the *practical* application of
a Universal law.
This Universal law is known by many names:
The law of cause and effect...
The law of karma...
And...
The law of sowing and reaping...
Are just a few of them.
In his writings, Wallace D. Wattles, best known for his
classic masterpiece "The Science of Getting Rich",
frequently refers to it as the law of action and reaction...
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Odds are you've heard this Universal law expressed in many
different ways:
Energy always returns to the source of its origination...
What goes around comes around...
What you do comes back to you...
You reap what you sow...
And...
My personal favorite:
It always comes back to bite you in the...
Well...
You know the rest. :-)
Regardless of how this Universal law is expressed...
The bottom line is...
Whatever you put out into the Universe comes back to you.
And...
More importantly...
Because it's a law...
Whatever you put out into the Universe *always* comes back
to you.
This is the way the Universe works.
When you look at it this way, it puts Jesus' words in a
whole new light, doesn't it?
Practicing the Golden Rule, as it's come to be known as,
isn't just the moral thing to do, or the right thing to
do...
It's the *smart* thing to do!
Why?
Simple...
Because it's the law...
If you cheat others, you *will* be cheated.
If you hate others, you *will* be hated.
If you hurt others, you *will* be hurt.
If you judge others, you *will* be judged.
If you steal from others, you *will* be stolen from.
If you take advantage of others, you *will* be taken
advantage of.
If you treat others rudely, you *will* be treated rudely.
On the other hand...
If you forgive others, you *will* be forgiven.
If you help others, you *will* be helped.
If you love others, you *will* be loved.
If you treat others fairly, you *will* be treated fairly.
If you treat others honestly, you *will* be treated
honestly.
If you treat others kindly, you *will* be treated kindly.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction...
Whatever you put out into the Universe always comes back to
you...
You can't escape it...
It's the law!
Now...
One thing that's *very* important to understand...
When Jesus said:
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do
to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the law and the
prophets."
He was *not* saying this because others, themselves, will
"do unto you" what you have done unto them.
Jesus was saying this because the Universe, God or whatever
you prefer to call the "Universal Power" behind all things,
will "do unto you" what you have done unto others!
For example...
If you steal something from someone, it doesn't necessarily
mean that particular person will steal something from you.
However...
You *will* be stolen from.
It's not a matter of "if"...
It's just a matter of when and how!
On the other hand...
If you treat someone honestly, it doesn't necessarily mean
that particular person will treat you honestly.
However...
You *will* be treated honestly.
Again...
It's not a matter of "if"...
It's just a matter of when and how!
Why?
Because it's the law...
It's the way the Universe works.
So...
The next time you're about to do something...
Anything...
That involves other people...
Ask yourself this very simple question:
Would I want someone else doing this to me?
If your answer is yes...
Do it.
If your answer is no...
Don't.
It's that simple.
Remember...
Practicing the Golden Rule...
Doing unto others as you'd have them do unto you...
Or...
Treating others as you'd like to be treated...
Isn't just the moral thing to do, or the right thing to
do...
It's the *smart* thing to do!

Get Rid Of Depression

Are you blue, anxious, irritable, tired, inundated or emotionally delicate? These forms of mood disorders have become shockingly common, and in a lot of cases, may easily be resolved.

Depression and anxiety particularly have become so prevalent that it’s exceedingly common for individuals to be taking medication for one or even both of these mood disorders. As a matter of fact, the incidence of depression and anxiety has tripled since 1990 and more than twenty-five percent of the adult population in the U.S. suffers from one or more mood troubles.

Occasionally depression or a blue mood might have no evident cause and occasionally it might be caused by a number of elements. Keeping a journal is among the most potent tools available for personal growth and emotional mending. It may and should be a day-to-day ritual. Putting down our views lets us view them as separate from ourselves.

A wellness checklist ought to handle the needs of mind, body, and soul by rendering honest daily goals. It's meant to encourage you as you battle depression, not drown you, so keep it easy.

Beneficial nutrition is crucial when you need to battle depression. This is tricky, as depression tends to cut off the appetite. In order to battle depression, you need to take up enough calories and nutrients to provide your body and brain strength.

Sleep furnishes the armor you require to battle depression. Without enough rest, you're more susceptible to those damaging messages twirling around in your brain, and less able to do beneficial things on your own behalf.

Depression might be among the worst illnesses we know, but it's highly treatable. Discovering what works might involve weeks or months - and occasionally even years - of frustration and heartbreak, but with the range of options we now have, your prospects are excellent. Furthermore, we're not helpless bystanders. The decisions we make affecting our lifestyles can dramatically better the odds in our favor. To those of you, who are depressed, please look for help - you shouldn't have to hurt one day longer than you have to. For those of you fighting with your treatments don't give up hope. A more brilliant future lies ahead.

What Does Success Truly Mean?

For most individuals, success is an elusive accomplishment. We look upon ourselves
as being better in terms of the next individual. Our nose perched high in the
air as we look patronizingly at the blue- collar worker on the bus. Is this the
correct way of viewing success? How should we specify it? Moreover, how do we
accomplish it?

In order to accomplish the success that we crave, there are crucial skills we need
to practice and master. Many of these skills have pragmatic, daily
applications. Some of them are eye-openers, letting us see how what we think is
an innocuous activity might actually be that one action which keeps success
from our grip. They're not fresh ideas. Rather, they're often-forgotten ones.

Success is comprised of 3 main components: Completion, omission and conception.
Completion is merely completing the tasks that we set for ourselves. It might
be things as everyday as going to the grocery and paying the bills to something
as big as completing college or getting that promotion. Finishing the tasks we
set out to do is crucial as it gives us a sense of achievement and confidence
in our abilities.

In discussing success, we must first specify the concept. A large number of
individuals specify their successes based on the concept of success that others
make for us. We label ourselves as "successful" if what we achieve
fits into the mold of what our parents, teachers, friends and co-workers expect
of us. If we get praise then we're a success, if we're met with damaging
emotions then what we're doing must be the opposite of success. But is that
what success truly is?

You've been the top marketer in the last 3 years. You're well- accredited at work and
most of the individuals stops to say, "Hi" at your personal office
which looks across the sea. Life looks good. But, given all you've done, why
are you not feeling more successful?

Really successful individuals are assured individuals. They've transcended this need
for substantiation from others and have learned to produce and acknowledge
their own individual successes based on their own personal criteria.

Admitting our own successes constructs confidence and brings energy into our present
plans. We have to self-acknowledge ourselves to build momentum and assurance.
It's crucial for us to take time daily to notice our individual, daily
successes. This helps us transfer from getting our confidence from others to
capturing our confidence from ourselves. Take time daily to consider all the
little things you were proud of achieving that day and write it down. If you
feel down, pull out your success sheet and be proud of it.

Take a few minutes today to ask yourself, "What does success really mean to
you?" Live by your own success criteria, not others. Establishing
meaningful relationships and sharing with other people, is what success truly
is.

Talking with Anyone – What Do You Need?

Talking with Anyone – What Do You Need?
If you are the type that sits alone at a party with a hundred people just because you don‟t know anyone there, you definitely need to improve your skills of communication. Communication is the key to anything – making friendships, striking business contracts, impressing people and even getting yourself a life partner. You cannot do any of these without talking with someone.
But if talking with someone unfamiliar is something that scares the heebie-jeebies out of you, you need a quick sizing up. Probably something is seriously wrong there. Talking is actually one of the natural things that we do – it is as natural as breathing for most of us – so what‟s holding you back.
Let us begin by trying to see the most important things that you will need in order to be able to talk with anyone.
Note that I will always use the phrase „talking with someone‟ here as opposed to „talking to someone‟. This is not about grammar, but it is more about what I think. Talking is not something you do alone. You do it with someone. It is not that you just keep on going blah-blah and the other person just listens. They are talking with you too. It is a collaborated effort.
Confidence
The first thing you need to start any kind of conversation is confidence. Here confidence basically means that you should have some knowledge of your self-worth. You should know that you amount to something and that is what you need to project when you are trying to open a conversation with someone. It is only when they understand that listening to you will mean something to them will they take the time. However, your confidence will only show when you are really happy with your self-worth. Hence, this is more about a self-evolvement thing than personality development.
Be Considerate
I would say this is what gives the power to keep any conversation going. What does being considerate mean in this context? It simply means this – You have to be as much aware of the other person as you are about yourself. If you get a break at a conversation with someone, it does not mean that you will just go on rambling about yourself. Give an equal opportunity to the other to speak. Listen to what they say. Ask about them. Make them feel important in the talk too.
Be Diverse
You may start with a single topic, but if you want to keep a conversation going on, it is best to be diverse. Once you know what the person likes, you could continue talking about that subject. But it would be foolish to talk about Hollywood thrillers to a person who hasn't ever watched a movie, wouldn't it? You must make an effort to keep broadening your vistas of knowledge all the time. Remember that the more you know the more will you be able to talk.
Remember
A conversation commits partial suicide when you forget an important detail about someone. It would be ridiculous if you have been speaking with someone for fifteen minutes and you have already forgotten their name which they mentioned. On the other hand, if you speak specifically to someone about something that pertains to them, you will almost always get a good reply. A good memory is vital to good conversation; I have always experienced that.

"Do It Now."

If with pleasure you are viewing any work a man is doing,
If you like him or you love him, tell him now;
Don't withhold your approbation till the parson makes oration
As he lies with snowy lilies o'er his brow;
for, no matter how you shout it,
he won't really care about it,
He don't know how many teardrops you have shed;
If you think some praise is due him,
now's the time to pass it to him
for he cannot read his tombstone when he's dead!

Top 10 Limiting Beliefs

Top 10 Limiting Beliefs

This is an excerpt from Clear Limiting Beliefs by Amanda Goldston

Top 10 limiting beliefs

1. Fear of our GREATNESS
For many people this is the biggest one, though often the least discussed. What if I was really GREAT at my own business? My job? As a spouse/partner? As a parent? As a public speaker? Etc.
What would other people say? What would my "friends" say if I suddenly outshone them or my income took off? I bought my dream home or my dream car etc?
For most people this is one of the most uncomfortable thoughts they can consider, and as a result holds more people back than almost anything.
As Marianne Williamson said in her book, a Return to Love (1992):
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us."
And also:
"Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you"
and:
“As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others”

2. Fear of Not being (good) ENOUGH
If you have a dream or a desire to be, have or do something, then you already have everything you need within you to achieve that dream. You already have all the skills, talents and abilities that you need.
You cannot be given the dream and then not have the resources to achieve that dream.
So many people hold themselves back by feeling they need to read one more book, take one more course/seminar or do one more thing before they go for their dream.

3. Fear of NOT being LOVED
This is quite closely linked to the previous belief. Often people fear that if they are their true selves, people will not like and love them and they will lose their friends and end up alienated and alone.
Many people go through life trying to BE who they think other people- family, friends, employers, employees, partner etc- want them to be, in order to win love and acceptance from those people.
The most important person, however, is ourself. It is far more important to totally LOVE & ACCEPT ourselves exactly as we are. Once we can do that, we attract to us people who also love and accept themselves and they can then love and accept us exactly as we are.
Our Angels, Guides, The Universe and Our Creator love us exactly as we are. Children and animals do as well. We don't have to pretend to be something we are not to love ourselves and to be loved by others

4. Fear of Rejection
This comes in different forms, from not asking for the date with the person you really want to be with, to being afraid to make that all important call or being afraid to ask for the raise you deserve or not asking for the order, just in case the person says "NO".
Well, what if they do? What's the worst that could happen? Probably nothing much, yet they might say YES! In most cases, people are not rejecting you as a person; they are most likely simply not accepting what you are offering to them.
Success is a matter of ASKING, and keep ASKING until you find the right person who can help you achieve your dreams. If someone says NO to you, it's a signal to either change your strategy or ASK someone else.
Look at a child who wants an ice- cream in a shop. What do they do? First they ask Mum, then Dad, then Grandma or Granddad, and if that doesn't work
they change tactics. Do they eventually get their ice-cream? Frequently. And when they don't, they ask for sweets in the next shop or a cake in the next and a toy in the next- just for good measure!
One tip: ASK with the biggest SMILE you can and start nodding your head! It is amazing how often people will follow you and agree to your request.

5. Fear of FAILURE
What if I try this, and it doesn't work out? Failure is often considered to be something bad, to be avoided at all cost. However, it is the flip side of success, and in order to succeed you need to try different things- some will work out, others won't.
Most successful people don't use the word failure. In fact they consider it simply as a learning experience that showed them a way that didn't work, and try another approach, while still moving towards their dream.
You can decide how long you allow yourself to feel bad or you can move on and try the next thing.
OK, other people may laugh at you or talk about you for a short time. Most likely they are too busy with their own lives and problems to even notice you or anything that may have happened to you.

6. Fear of SUCCESS
This is closely linked to most of the above, especially number one.
People often fear the positive changes, maybe extra responsibility, that great wealth and success brings.
They get caught in all the old negative programming about rich people being mean, selfish, arrogant and not spiritual and that money can only be acquired by foul means, and decide that it is not for them.
They get caught in negative thoughts of people begging for money and others taking it away from them, or what if they make it and then lose it? How much of an idiot would they look then to their friends and family?
Yet, Success and Abundance is our birthright.
We were not meant to live in poverty or stress. Once we hook up to our source of Abundance, we know that money is like air- there is always more than enough for everyone, and it flows as freely as air.
The more Abundance you have, the more you can freely give to others and help them to improve their lives. Abundance is very spiritual. Money builds homes, schools, hospitals, and many other great things.

7. I don't DESERVE/ I am not WORTHY of SUCCESS
Who decides who is worthy/deserving of success or not?
It is not the Universe or our Creator because they want us to have all the abundance we can handle. Our natural state is joy and abundance.
What are the criteria for someone to be considered worthy/deserving of success? Is family background? education? age? sex? religion?
You can CHOOSE for yourself that you are worthy of success and abundance. Claim your birthright NOW!

8. Rich People are…
“all mean, selfish, arrogant, unspiritual crooks who have made their money by cheating others.”
If you hold these beliefs then it is likely to be very difficult for you to allow yourself to have great wealth. If that is how you see rich people, then it is unlikely you would really want to become one.
Today there are more and more "Enlightened Millionaires" (Robert Allen & Mark Victor Hansen- The One Minute Millionaire 2003) than ever before.
These people made their money by SERVING others and helping them grow in every sense of the word.
They know and understand that the more abundance they allow to flow to themselves, the more they can help others, and the quicker and easier poverty is eliminated.

9. I have layers of deep-rooted beliefs that hold me back
A belief is a thought and You can choose your thoughts. In any instant you can choose an empowering belief or a dis-empowering one. Why choose to hold onto old beliefs and keep bringing them back up. Let go of them.

10. I have to work long and hard for my money
Why? That is often a pattern that many of us saw from our parents.
Yet for many people, working longer and harder does not actually produce more money or a better quality of life. Most millionaires only work long hours if they choose to, and many of them do not work particularly "hard". Wealthy people create money through creative ideas.
If you follow your heart and your passions, money will follow and your means of earning money will seem like PLAY

11. You need money to be able to make money, and I don't have any!
Many great fortunes have been built from nothing, sometimes less than nothing. Creativity and ideas are the starting point of riches. There are plenty of people out there, who have more money than time, and who will back good ideas.
Money is an energy and creating money begins by creating wealth in your mind. By living and experiencing great wealth, and truly knowing and believing that it is on its way to you because you deserve it.
It begins by BEING wealthy and abundant in your mind, and making it so real that the physical then must catch up.
Some suggestions:-
Go shopping for a luxury car, your dream home, go and have a coffee or a drink in the cafe or bar where the millionaires meet or buy yourself a small item from the best store in town.
Mix with the people you aspire to be like. Many of them are very pleasant, very approachable people. You will soon become like them.

How Walt Disney Got His Bankers To Believe

Just wanted to share a great story
that Mike Vance, Walt's head of creative
thinking at the Disney Corporation shared.

Here's the story:

Walt Disney went to the bank and told
them he wanted this HUGE LINE of credit.

When they asked him what he was going
to do with all that money...

Walt told them:

"I'm going to buy this giant swamp in
the middle of Florida".

The bankers were a bit puzzled and then
asked him what he was going to do with
all that useless swampland.

Walt answered:

"I'm going to build a castle right in the
middle of the swamp".

The bankers then asked:

And what are you going to do with a castle
in the middle of the swamp?

Walt replied:

"I'm going to put a mouse in the castle
and he's going to live there with all his pals."

What happens then?  the bankers asked.

Walt then said:

"Well, once I get the castle built and
the mouse has moved into the castle, people
are going to come from all over the world and
they're going to bring buckets of money
with them."

And then? the bankers demanded.

Walt answered,

"Well then the people are going to take
the buckets of money into the castle and
they are going to give it to the mouse."

The bankers asked That's it?

Pretty much replied Walt.

And just exactly how big a line of credit
are you going to need? asked the bankers.

Walt said "Oh...we're going to need a big one"

And that was it.  Four years later Disney
World opened it's doors to the world and the
rest is history.

I hope you enjoyed this story and the lesson
here is to dream of your castle and take action.

Today, you don't need a line of credit.

You just need a great system and a model to
follow.

Double Blessings

Double blessings

Every positive thing in your life represents a single unique blessing.

Every negative thing in your life has the opportunity to become a double blessing.

For when you turn a negative into a positive, you gain twice.

You are no longer burdened with the negative situation, and in addition to that you are strengthened by a new positive force.

Heal a strained relationship and not only do you lose an enemy, you also gain a friend.

Turn a weakness into a strength, and not only are you no longer held back by the weakness, you are pushed forward by the strength.

Every negative situation carries its own energy.

When you turn that energy around, the effort involved brings a double reward.

The weaknesses, liabilities, nuisances and troubles are no cause for despair.

They are assets, conveniences, joys and riches waiting to be manifested through your efforts.

Don't seek to merely get rid of the negative things in your life.

Instead, transform their energy into something of real positive value.

The Devil In Bankruptcy.. an old legend

An old legend relates that the devil was thrown into bankruptcy. Out of all his tools, the creditors permitted him to keep one. The tool he selected was the wedge of negative thinking. Asked why he liked this tool better than all the rest, the devil explained, "It is because this is the one tool which I can use when all others fail. Let me get that little wedge into a man's consciousness, and it opens everything else.

"That wedge has opened more doors for me than all other weapons combined."

How To Reduce The Ego

The ego is that part in us which feeds off praise, compliments and success. When we live in the ego we are inevitably subject to feelings of superiority / inferiority, pride and worthlessness, success and failure. If we want to avoid these negative emotions we need to transcend the ego. If we can transcend the ego, we will find that people are instinctively more attracted to us, even though we are no longer trying to impress. It may seem a great paradox, yet, limiting the role of our ego can make a radical difference to our lives.
These are some factors which can reduce the power of the Ego.
1. Don’t Try to impress
Don’t speak about your own achievements. Don’t drop names of great people you have met. Avoid forcing your accomplishments and success into the conversation. If you have been successful in accumulating wealth, try to keep quiet about it. All these factors may impress your own ego, but, you can guarantee they will have little impact on other people.
2. Be aware of False Modesty.
Sometimes when we say. “O I’m absolutely hopeless”. Actually what we are wanting is for people to respond. ‘O no your not, your really good.” Humility means that we don’t take excessive pride in our achievements, but, it also means we don’t exaggerate our failings in the hope of gaining sympathy.
3. Be Careful of Flattery.
We need to be careful about receiving praise, in some ways it can be as difficult as receiving criticism. The problem is that the ego likes receiving praise and so we can easily become addicted to being flattered. Don’t seek out people who are keen to flatter us, as this is only feeding the ego. Also, be wary of flattering other people in the hope that they will return the compliment.
4. Don’t use your Religion / Spirituality to Impress.
It is a mistake to feel that the practise of a religion / spiritual path gives us a moral superiority over other people. If we feel any superiority we are missing the whole point of spirituality. Spirituality is about a feeling of oneness not of proving that one path is better than others. This can be one of the most insidious types of ego. This is because when we wrap up the ego in a sense of moral superiority, we can easily trick ourselves into thinking we are reducing the ego, when actually we are strengthening it.

5. Be Aware of the extended Ego.
Ego, is not just about feeling we are better than others. Our Ego can also be expressed via national / religious feeling. When we feel a pride or superiority in our religion / nation, there is still the same problem of ego but, it is expressed through an extended sense of reality. This sense of superiority / pride is just as damaging as if it was contained to ourselves. However, we can feel that because it is not directly related to ourselves, somehow there is no ego involved.
6. Don’t Speak badly of Others.
Quite often, when we speak ill of others there is a subtle attempt to make ourselves look better. We may not explicitly say it, but, when we point to someone’s shortcomings we imply that we don’t have these, and therefore we are much better than them. The important thing here is the motive. Be very vigilant; what is your inner motive for criticising someone else? If it is to make you feel / look better, be very careful. The irony of course is that when we criticise someone, often we have the same imperfections ourselves, it is just that we find it easier to see them in other people.
7. What is Your Motivation for Doing Something?
If nobody knew that you had done it, would you still do the action with the same intensity? Can you work without expecting reward and praise? If you can do things selflessly with no desire for people to find out, this is a sign you do not give importance to the ego. If you only do things in the hope of praise, then you are working to satisfy the ego. The sad thing is that if you really work selflessly, at some point, your efforts will receive much greater recognition because people will come to also value the selfless motivation behind the action. Try doing some things but not let anybody no about it. In the NT, this is what Jesus meant when he said. “and with you left hand.
8. Don’t rely on Your Physical Appearance to Impress.
If you rely on your physical beauty to impress this is definitely coming from the ego. This is not to see beauty is bad thing, far from it. But, real beauty is heightened by modesty and the absence of ego. Avoid paying excessive interest to your physical looks.
To reduce our ego, we have to give great importance to our thoughts and motivation behind our actions. We have to be very strict with ourselves and work out why we are doing something. To reduce the ego, requires great vigilance, we need to reflect on each action and motivation. However, to reduce the influence of the ego, is of great value, it is the key to achieving a sense of inner peace.
If you have any other tips for reducing the ego, I would be interested in hearing them!

Franklin's 13 Virtues

From Benjamin Franklin’s autobiography…
My intention being to acquire the habitude of all these virtues, I judged it would be well not to distract my attention by attempting the whole at once, but to fix it on one of them at a time; and, when I should be master of that, then to proceed to another, and so on, till I should have gone through the thirteen; and, as the previous acquisition of some might facilitate the acquisition of certain others, I arranged them with that view, as they stand [below].
  1. TEMPERANCE
Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
  2. SILENCE
Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid
    trifling conversation.
  3. ORDER
Let all your things have their places; let each part of
    your business have its time.
  4. RESOLUTION
Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without
    fail what you resolve.
  5. FRUGALITY
    Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself;
    i.e., waste nothing.
  6. INDUSTRY
Lose no time; be always employed in something
useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
  7. SINCERITY
Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly; and,
    if you speak, speak accordingly.
  8. JUSTICE
Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits
    that are your duty.
  9. MODERATION
Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much
    as you think they deserve.
  10. CLEANLINESS
Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, clothes, or habitation.
  11. TRANQUILITY
Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common
    or unavoidable.
  12. CHASTITY
Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to
dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another’s
    peace or reputation.
  13. HUMILITY
    Imitate Jesus and Socrates

Robert Ringer’s 20 Life-Guiding Principles

Robert Ringer’s
20 Life-Guiding Principles
1. Never compromise your integrity, for anything or anybody.
2. Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Learn to say no politely and
pleasantly, but immediately and firmly.
3. Whatever it is, do it now. Not next week, not tomorrow, not later today
— now.
4. When you feel overwhelmed, don’t try to do everything — just do
something.
5. Concentrate on doing what you do best, and let others do the rest.
6. Don’t waste time talking about your plans to others. Learn to zip the lip.
7. Avoid quick fixes. Take the time to work on long-term, permanent
solutions.
8. When the ball is on the one-yard line, never risk a fumble. Carry it over
yourself.
9. Avoid premature victory celebrations. You’re not through until you’ve
dotted all the “i’s” and crossed all the “t’s” — and the check has cleared
the bank.
10. Focus your efforts on the crux of every situation. Avoid expending energy
on peripheral issues that cannot yield a payoff no matter what their
outcome.
11. The power of the understatement is enormous. Say what you have to say
— quickly, succinctly, and simply — then stop talking.
12. Never fall into the trap of waiting for something to happen. Make it
happen!
13. Learn to love truth instead of trying to make true that which you love.
14. Never base a decision on conventional wisdom alone. Question
everything.
15. Life is a distance run. Don’t come out of the starting gate too fast … and
be careful not to get winded too soon.
16. The most efficient way to get ahead of the competition is not to fight your
way through the pack, but to leapfrog over it.
17. Make it a habit to concentrate on opportunities rather than problems.
18. The only power anyone can have over you is the power you give him.
Without your permission, the other person is powerless.
19. Live every moment as though the whole world were watching.
20. Free will is the greatest asset you have at your disposal. Use it!

Remembering to Organize

Being well organized takes lots of time and effort and there is a lot to remember. Below are good tips to help you to remember it all:

   1. Jot it down. With the many details that you have to remember in any given day, why should you try to keep it all in a memory bank? At the very moment that you remember something needs to be done, the very best thing to do is write it down. Then, just as you need to recall it, it will be there for you in an instant.

   2. Keep it all in one place. Once you have developed the knack of writing everything down, your next step will be to keep your writing all in one place. You will remember better this way. Otherwise, you are going to spend valuable time searching for your notes.

   3. Stay healthy. A keen memory is a well-nourished mind. Eat healthy; get plenty of rest and lots of good exercise. These will all see you through to having a good memory, staying focused and being alert.

   4. Record your every thought. You might find yourself driving when a good idea about organizing comes to you or you might recall something that you really need to write down. No need to pull over and start writing, record instead! Pull off to the side of the road and use a small hand held tape recorder. This is a wonderful tool to carry around with you, to record your thoughts, or your parking space number, or even a memorable telephone number you see on a billboard as you drive by. Use your handy recorder to be your second eyes and ears.

   5. Call ahead. When you are at the office and you want to do something when you arrive back home, call ahead to your answering machine and leave yourself a message. As soon as you get home you can listen to your message and remember exactly what you wanted to do.

   6. Be confident in yourself. If you keep saying you have a bad memory, you will probably continue to have a bad memory. It is important to have a motivated, I CAN remember attitude.

   7. Handy email reminders. There are many good and free e-mail reminder services available. You can type in what you want to remember, such as a welcome party, anniversary or special event, and you will receive an e-mail reminder when the date is approaching. This is a terrific way to jog your memory by Internet.

   8. Use sticky notes. Those wonderful, little sticky notes are the next best thing to sliced bread! They are amazing as memory helpers. Want to remember something prior to leaving your home? Just mark it down on a Post-It Note and stick it to the inside of your door. The bright, neon colors will be great to catch your eye as you are leaving. You will not likely miss it! Need to make an urgent call first thing in the morning? Leave a Post-It Note on your telephone.

   9. Use timers and alarms. Take advantage of alarm clocks and timers throughout your day. Have to take the clothes out of the dryer by 12 noon? Set your alarm clock to remind you. Want to leave for the ladies luncheon by 7 p.m.? Set your timer to beep a few minutes before it is time to start to get ready.

  10. Visual memory joggers. Visual reminders will help you remember and stay focused. Use visual reminders for remembering your goals. If your goal is to take a trip to a Ireland in a few years, keep a magazine photograph of Ireland right on your desk. If your goal is to lose 30 lbs. in six months, find a picture or ornament that will help remind you of this goal each day.
