From My Friend James Lee Valentine

The Empowered Millionaire
Has A Meaningful Purpose

Mother Teresa said the greatest place to which one can travel

is to the hearts of the needy. She had a life's mission and

personal philosophy of helping people die with dignity.

In a similar way, James Lee Valentine has the overriding mission of

helping people live with dignity. It is the belief of James that every

human being has a responsibility to help his or her impoverished

brothers and sisters to increase their quality of life.

Many psychologists have claimed that our genuine happiness

can only result from having a meaningful purpose that contributes

to society. In the process of giving to others, we automatically

achieve a deep sense of satisfaction.

The responsibility of helping others is far greater than the mere

feelings of satisfaction that result. As Edgar Casey phrased it:

"We will enter heaven leaning on the

arm of someone we have helped."

The desire for contribution is an invaluable reminder of

the importance of having a magnificent life's purpose and

working diligently toward its attainment.

Don't look for the light to show the way.

Agoraphobia and Panic Attacks

There is phobia that is linked to the experience of panic attacks, and that is agoraphobia. Agoraphobia is the fear of open spaces or of being in crowded, public places such as shopping markets. It is a fear associated with leaving a safe zone, such as the home.

Because of a feeling of being vulnerable, people who experience this fear often suffer from panic attacks in these “open” situations. It is true to say many people who have regular panic attacks experience different degrees of agoraphobia. Some have a lingering background anxiety about being away from home should they experience a panic attack. Other people are so immobilized by this fear that they find it very difficult to leave their home for even a short period.

The thinking behind agoraphobia usually follows the line that were a panic attack to occur, who would look after the person, how would he or she get the assistance and reassurance they needed? The vulnerability grows from the feeling that once victims of agoraphobia are caught in the anxiety, they are suddenly unable to look after themselves and are therefore at the mercy of the place they find themselves in and the strangers around them. In its extreme form, agoraphobia and panic attacks can lead to a situation where people become housebound for numerous years. Please note, this is by no means a hopeless situation, and I always need to reinforce the fact that something only becomes hopeless once the person really believes that to be the case.

To begin with, the primary issue that needs to be addressed is the belief in the safe zone. To clarify, when I talk about safe zone, I am referring to the zone where the person believes panic attacks do not occur, or at least occur infrequently. As comfort is found there, it is where the person tends to spend more and more time. The safe zone of anxiety is a myth sustained by the mind. The mind has developed a habit of thinking that dictates that being inside the safe zone is the only place to feel secure and avoid agoraphobia and panic attacks. If agoraphobia is an issue for you, watch as your mind comes up with reasons why it believes only a certain area is safe and another is not. Those reasons range from being near the phone or people you trust to having familiar physical surroundings to reassure you.

The reality of anxiety is that there is no such thing as a safe zone. There is nothing life threatening about a panic attack, and therefore sitting at home is the same as sitting under the stars on a desert island. Of course, your mind will immediately rush to tell you that a desert island is a ridiculous place to be as there are no hospitals, no tranquillizers, no doctors, NO SAFETY.

You need to review your previous experiences of panic attacks. Aren’t you still here, alive and well, after all those attacks during which you were convinced you were going to die?

It may be that on occasions you have been driven to the hospital where they did medicate you to calm you down, but do you really believe that you would not have survived were it not for the drugs? You would have. If the same bout of anxiety had occurred on this desert island, it too would have passed, even if you were all alone. Yes, when it comes to conditions that need medical attention such as asthma, diabetes, and a whole litany or other conditions, then having medical aid nearby is a big asset, but no doctor in the world would tell someone with anxiety that there are only specific safe zones in which she or he can move.

As I know more than anyone how terrifying it can feel to move out of your safe zone as the feeling of fear is welling up inside, I do not wish to sound harsh. This course is not about chastising people for their behaviors. It is a way of looking together at solutions and seeing through the myths that form prison walls. The goal is to enable you to return to a richer and more meaningful life and ultimately defeat your agoraphobia and panic attacks. I also realize that people around you cannot understand why a trip to shops would cause you such discomfort. You will have to forgive them and try not to be upset by their lack of understanding of your problem.

If an individual such as a partner or family member has not had a similar anxiety issue, that person may often find it hard to understand and empathize with what you are going through. I am sure you have been dragged out of the house numerous times against your will, kicking and screaming. This can then lead to tensions and arguments and is upsetting as it can make you feel less understood by those around you. People around agoraphobics are often simply trying what they feel is best. If you can see that their intentions are well meaning (although often misguided), then you will be able to relate to them better and help sooth any potential conflicts.

There is one thing I am sure you will agree with, and that is that the only person who will get you out of agoraphobic thinking is yourself. These are your thoughts, and only you can begin to change that pattern. Dealing with long term agoraphobia and panic attacks is a slow process to begin with, but once the results start happening, it moves faster and faster until you reach a point where you will find it hard to believe that going out was such a difficult task.

How to Speak With Confidence and Win Over the World

One of the ways that you can tell if someone does not have that much confidence within them is by the way they speak, the words that they use, the tone and the overall volume. You would classify these people as decidedly soft spoken and sometimes even shy, when looking at the relationship of their body language to the way that they speak as well. There is a way to speak with confidence and this article will detail some of the steps that you need to know about to speak with the sort of conviction necessary to project yourself as someone who is commanding and confident.

The first thing you should not is the volume of your voice, and if you are naturally soft spoken, you may want to do something about that. But the funny thing is, some people who are soft spoken can appear massively confident; so that is not the only thing you need to take note of when trying to improve your speech impediments in relation to confident speaking. The thing you need to understand is that there must be enough volume for people to take notice, and not too much when they will just look at you as a raving lunatic with a hearing problem.

Do not shout. It is all about control. You can have a loud person but with a controlled volume in a sense that your voice never gets away with you. In the same light, you also need to contain your emotions, as some people have the problem where their emotions get the better of them and it seems like they are speaking while being poked by a cattle prod. Being confident means that you have control of the situation, and in speech, the situation is you. You need to calm yourself down and remember, speed is not a good thing here. Nor is speaking like a 500-year-old Sensei master.

You need to have a measure of pace where it is exciting to listen to but you can draw your listeners to what you are talking about. Body language is really important here and you cannot be distracting and you cannot be shy. Never put your head down and do not just try to get eye contact, but grab their pupils from them and exert as much force as you can to pierce through their heads to the other side of the wall.

Use your hands but be subtle and never flail yourself around, the whole lunatic vibe will come back and haunt you. In retrospect, it may not be that volume is everything. It is how you speak, the intonations that you use, the stresses to the important words and how you can just fluidly enter a conversation at the exact time where you should have. It is about timing as well and about the type of body language that you will be using. When you can master all this, then you can take the world by storm with some confident syntax.

Building a Wealth and Prosperity Mindset

One sure way to boost your odds of becoming successful is to have a mindset
geared toward wealth and prosperity. Why? Because the actions you take on a
daily basis – right down to the amount of effort you put toward your goals – stem
directly from your state of mind.
Believing you can accomplish something is the first step in actually doing it.
Unfortunately many of us pay little attention to our mindset, and end up
creating a whole lot of struggle and difficulty for ourselves in the process! The
good news is that creating a wealth and prosperity mindset can be achieved
quickly and easily with a little know-how and some determination.
This report will share some helpful insights on:
• Exactly what a wealth and prosperity mindset is
• Why it’s vital to have one if you want to succeed
• How to develop your mindset for wealth and prosperity
What is a Wealth and Prosperity Mindset?
The common definition of “mindset” is: a mental
attitude or inclination, or a fixed state of mind.
So, a wealth and prosperity mindset would
mean an attitude or inclination that causes us
to focus on abundance.
It may surprise you to learn that most
people focus on the opposite. They focus
on wanting more prosperity, seeking
greater wealth, and pursuing both at any cost.
In other words, they focus on the fact that they do not yet have wealth or
prosperity, which means they actually have a scarcity or poverty mindset. They
focus more on what they’re lacking, the things they can’t afford to buy, and
even worse – feeling resentful toward people who are already wealthy.

Does this describe your general attitude, too? If so, don’t let it get you down! It’s
actually very common to have this mindset, and you can turn it around starting
right now.
All you need is the willingness to start thinking in a different way and the
courage to take actions based on this new way of thinking. Don’t worry; you
won’t have to take groundbreaking actions; just one step at a time will move
you in the direction you want to go.
Scarcity Consciousness vs. Abundance Consciousness
The very first step in building a wealth and prosperity mindset is to start
expanding your awareness of wealth and prosperity.
Right now you may be in the habit of looking at the dark side of every situation.
Perhaps you worry about how little money you have or you feel the heavy
burden of too many bills. In order to turn this perception around, make it a point
to see the abundance that surrounds you:
• Be grateful for the money you do have.
• Feel optimistic that you will receive more soon.
• Believe you can improve your life and make more money.
It’s also important for your perception of wealth to be in line with attracting it.
You can’t have a negative opinion of wealthy people and expect to get wealthy
yourself! It just won’t happen because you block wealth from coming to you
every time you speak or think negatively about wealth or wealthy people.
Instead, start paying more attention to wealthy people you can admire. Read
about great philanthropists or celebrities who do important work with their
money. Seek out success stories about people who started with nothing and
became millionaires.
The more you do this, the more you’ll change your perception of what it means
to be wealthy and you’ll begin drawing more tangible expressions of wealth into
your life.

A Common Blockage Against Feeling Prosperous
While you’re focusing more of your attention on
success and wealth, it’s also important to
deliberately turn your attention away from
examples of scarcity – both in your own life and
in the world in general.
What is it that makes us obsess over negativity
and disasters? Like staring at a horrible car wreck
when driving by, we sometimes can’t help
ourselves and have to look!
Unfortunately, this habit carries over into all other areas of our lives and we find
ourselves obsessing about problems and challenges too. The problem with this is
that it keeps us focused on things that make us feel powerless and out of
control.
In order to create a true prosperity mindset, you must train yourself to turn your
attention away from anything that distracts you from focusing on your wealth
and well being.
That doesn’t mean hiding your overdue bills in a drawer or refusing to face
reality. You don’t have to become a “Pollyanna” to focus on abundance, but
you do have to stop obsessing over the challenges and problems in your life.
A good rule is: Do what you can to improve the situation, then immediately
move on to more positive pursuits.
Refuse to wallow in setbacks; avoid spending hours a day worrying about
money; don’t talk yourself out of taking action because you might possibly fail.
Be proactive and precise in your actions and keep focused on where you want
to be, not where you don’t want to be.
If you were taking a road trip, rather than looking back at where you started,
you’d keep focused on your destination and the route you need to take to get
there.

Perception is Everything
The way you view your life and experiences is extremely
important. Why? Because most of us live in reaction
mode, that is, we tend to take action on our experiences
after something happens.
If we perceive something to be dangerous, we take action to defend
ourselves. If we perceive ourselves to be poor and lacking in opportunities,
we see no point in working to improve our lives.
The problem with reactions like these is that they usually become self-fulfilling
prophecies. Being overly-defensive can actually provoke attacks, and being
overly-pessimistic can attract more and more issues that prevent us from
improving our lives.
Rather than living with a reactive mindset, you can learn to start living with a
proactive mindset and change your life in ways you wouldn’t have believed
possible before now.
Limits Only Exist in Your Own Mind
What are your perceived limits when it comes to being rich and successful?
• Do you really believe you can make more money than you do now?
• Do you think that a lack of opportunities prevents you from doing so?
• Does it seem like there are too many obstacles between you and your
dreams?
Make a list of every possible limitation you can think of that prevents you from
being wealthy, and be sure to include both inner and outer limits. Include
information about your own fears and doubts, as well as any perceived
shortage of opportunities in your life.
Then examine each one carefully and decide if it’s really true or not. You may
be surprised at some of the things you’ve convinced yourself to believe!
For example, if one of the items on your list is, “I can’t make more money
because I don’t have a college degree,” ask yourself if there are any millionaires
in the world who didn’t graduate from college with a degree, or even go to
college at all. Of course there are!

This process is incredibly eye-opening and will help you see where you’re
placing limitations on your own success.
It’s also important to keep challenging these false perceptions on a regular
basis, because some of them may be embedded pretty solidly into your
subconscious mind.
Logically, you may know that there’s nothing holding you back, but then you still
find yourself hesitating or procrastinating.
If you keep challenging your limiting perceptions, and you take action despite
them, they’ll begin to fade away and eventually disappear. You’ll have
convinced yourself that they’re not true after all.
Taking the Right Actions
Now that you’re starting to transform your
perceptions of limits, you’re in a much better position
to begin taking focused action. The question is: What kind
of action should you take?
All of the richest and most successful people in the world have one
thing in common: they found a way to contribute value to the world
and are rewarded well for their efforts. Think about that for a minute.
Becoming wealthy is not about wishing for wealth until it falls out of the sky and
lands on your doorstep. At least it doesn’t work out that way for most people.
The majority of us will have to work for our wealth – but that’s not such a bad
thing if we choose work we truly enjoy.
The seeds of your wealth are tucked away in a surprising place: in your greatest
interests and passions. Of course, simply following your passions isn’t enough. You
also have to find a way to make your passions pay.
That means finding a way to use your interests and talents to contribute value to
the world. This can be done in any number of ways.

Here are some ways you can follow your passion while contributing value:
• Write a book about a topic you love.
• Create a product in line with your interests.
• Offer a service doing something you enjoy.
The possibilities are endless! Give some thought to the things you truly enjoy and
the skills and experience you already have. Then ask yourself, “How can I use
these assets to contribute value and generate income?”
Changing the Way You Work
Once you have a clear idea of the right activities to begin drawing wealth into
your life, it’s time to begin approaching these activities with a newfound sense
of purpose and a “can do” attitude.
Most of us go about this in the wrong way and then get frustrated when it
doesn’t seem to be working. The wrong way would be: taking small actions
while hoping for big results right away and then concluding we failed because
we didn’t progress quickly enough.
Instead, try this:
• Take bold, consistent actions every day.
• Step out of your comfort zone as far as you dare.
• Be confident about your abilities and expect positive results.
• Be patient; don’t expect overnight success.
• Focus most of your attention on enjoying the journey.
Can you see the difference between these two approaches? One leads to
certain failure and the other virtually guarantees success. When you aren’t so
focused on needing to see results, you relax and let them come naturally.
Ironically, such a relaxed attitude actually helps us make much faster progress
than if we keep stopping to pull our hair out in frustration!
Happiness, Prosperity, and Success
One of the most common misperceptions about wealth is that achieving some
monetary goal will make you happy. It’s true that having more money allows for

greater financial freedom in life, which can be seen as a facet of happiness –
but true happiness doesn’t come from anything outside of you.
Happiness is a state of mind.
Can you recall any wealthy people who are unhappy
with their lives? Just off the top of your head you could
probably recite the names of half a dozen celebrities
who are constantly struggling with addictions, relationship
turmoil, legal problems, and worse.
Money didn’t make these people happy, and it can’t make you happy either.
If you want to be happy, then you must decide to be happy now – regardless of
your problems and challenges. Just having a ton of money in the bank won’t
make problems go away unless those problems are directly related to a lack of
money.
No matter what you do, there will always be issues and events that threaten to
detract from your satisfaction and happiness. However, how this affects you is
your choice.
The greatest power you can ever develop is the ability to focus on the good so
you can be happy right now – no matter what else is happening around you.
It’s time to stop the mental recording that loops over and over, “I’ll be happy
when…I’ll be happy when…I’ll be happy when…” Right now is all you have.
Let tomorrow take care of itself. Instead, focus most of your energy on making
this moment the best it can possibly be. Mastering this skill alone can make you
the richest person on the planet!
Enjoy the Journey!
The biggest drawback to traditional goal-setting is that it encourages us to focus
so strongly on an end result that we don’t recognize the gifts we receive along
the way. Be sure to pause now and enjoy the scenery from where you stand,
even if you haven’t reached your ultimate goal yet.
Doing this regularly can provide great encouragement and motivation to keep
moving forward, but even better, it makes the entire journey seem as rewarding
as the destination!

Installing Love on the Human Computer

Installing Love on the Human Computer:

Tech Support: Yes, how can I help you?

Customer:
Well, after much consideration, I've decided to
install Love. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support:
Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Customer:
Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do I do first?

Tech Support:
The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?

Customer:
Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Tech Support:
What programs are running ?

Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support:
No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off ?

Customer:
I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me
how?

Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been
completely erased.

Customer:
Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Customer:
Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error - Program not run on external components." What should I do?

Tech Support:
Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before
you can Love others.

Customer:
So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Customer: Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming.
Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files.Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running.
One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Customer: Thank you, God.

God/Tech Support: You're Welcome, Anytime.

12 Steps To Living Your Dream Lifestyle And Winning The Game of Life

Living a dream lifestyle gives richness to life; you live with excitement, passion, a sense of purpose and a feeling that life is a miraculous gift. You get a spring in your walk, a smile on your face and your energy levels are high. And there is that special something that people feel when they are around you. Welcome to the good life!

Living a dream lifestyle affects all areas of your life. Your health gets better by far. Automatically. Your relationships get far better, automatically (men, you know what I am talking about - women are more attracted to us when we feel good about ourselves, isn’t it?). Your finances improve, automatically. Even if you have problems, they don’t swallow you up, you live on, and rarely pay attention to the doom-side of things. You know what I mean? Not much ruins your day.

The opposite, not living your dream, not living your passions, makes life seem like a struggle, a daily grind, a curse, even.

So how do you win the game of life and live your dream lifestyle?

You do so by setting certain specific things in order. And as with all things, you go first, always. You have to set three things about you in order first.

1. Get clear on what your dream lifestyle looks like by understanding what your top 5 passions are. A passion is not a goal, it is a way of life. Without clarity, you will get lost. You need something to aim for, and a vision of how it looks like when you get there. (Did you know that most people would struggle to tell you with certainty what their top 5 passions are?)

2, Figure out what your strengths and weaknesses are. Do not bother to fix your weaknesses. Don’t. I will show you what to do with them. Focus only on your strengths. That is where you freedom lies. (Did you know that most people would struggle to tell you with certainty what their mental, emotional, spiritual and physical strengths are?)

3. Understand your wealth profile, where you fit in the game of life, and what networks and support you need. There are only 9 possible roles that exist, and we all belong to one of the 9. For example, maybe you are a creator (a maker of content, e.g. a writer, painter or cake maker or chef), or a mechanist (a maker of systems, processes, tools, etc). And we all need each other. The trick is to know where you fall, so you know who else you need. And more. How to arrange them, attract them, and how to release the value found in your strengths and multiply it, leverage it.

Next, you need to understand the fundamentals of life, how life works. If you don’t, you will end up wasting much energy, getting frustrated, using the wrong approaches, and generally get nowhere, which is what most people do on this planet. So here are the fundamentals, in a very small nutshell...

4. Plan the dive, then dive the plan. You need to make a plan, not just any plan, but a life plan. And there is a right way to do this. Yes, I know, life does not always work as planned. But you still need a plan.

5. Understand the Law of Attraction and how to apply it. Most people know it intuitively, some consciously even, but they do not know how to apply it correctly (and this also explains the prayers that never get answered). If they did know how to apply it correctly, worrying would automatically stop to exist in their system. Worrying is an indication that you do not know how to apply the law of attraction properly.

6. To gain certainty, understand the science behind creation. Faith is good. But certainty is better. Understand how our world comes into being, how quantum physics works, and you will suddenly move from hope and faith to certainty. And that, my friend, is like adding twin-turbos to your manifestation vehicle.

7. Information is the key. Faith is running through the dark, sometimes in an unknown forest, head first. You will get to the other side, but you are likely to hit a few trees and bears along the way. Certainty is turning on the lights. Information = lights. Save time (and your ass). Get informed.

8. Apply the 80/20 rule to everything. It will prevent you from wasting most of your efforts.

9. Gain financial intelligence. Without it, your efforts will be scattered in the wind every week. With it, your efforts will go towards growing a garden that will forever feed you even when you stop working. You see, you have to know how to arrange your affairs so that, over time, you progressively move from having to work for money, and onto having money work for you. Most people never take this step! And they are doomed to forever have to exchange their time for currency. Imagine having currency come to you with you having to exchange your time for it.

And now, you are a whole lot closer to beginning to live the dream...

10. Understand very well how to use these tools and you will never get stuck: projects, tasks and strategic next actions. This is a science and art-form that is known by very few, yet it is so easy to learn. Paralysis will forever never, ever bother you again.

11. Connect your strengths to your wealth profile to create abundance in all areas of your life.

12. Get help! Learn how to outsource, delegate and cooperate. This way, you will be free to do only what you love and are strong at, you will have other people do what you are weak at, and you will actually move forward much, much faster and far, far more rewarding, financially and otherwise.

That is it in a very, very tiny nutshell. If you are looking for a top quality set of instructions that shows in detail and exactly how to carry out each of these steps and much more, David Cameron Gikandi and myself have arranged one for you over here:

It's All About Change

My favorite boatImage by janusz l via Flickr

Setting and achieving goals is about something more profound than
creating change. It's about managing change, and putting your future
completely in your control.
Print out the "Goals Brainstorming" worksheet. Download it here, Get comfortable.
You've got some thinking to do.
So, what future do you want?
If your life could be anything you wanted it to be, what would it be
right now?
 Where would you live?
 Who would your friends be? What kind of people would you like
to spend your time with?
 How would you spend your time, if you could be doing anything
at all that you wanted?
 What would you eat? Wear? Listen to?
 Would you work? If so, what would you do? If not, what would
you do?
 What do you want to learn? To know? To be?
 Where would you like to vacation? What would you do?
 What else would be a part of your perfect life?
Start writing. Write down the answers to every one of those questions.
Be complete. List everything you'd like to have in your life. Don't
assign money values, or think about cash in the bank right now. That's
for later.
While you're writing these things down, add anything else that you
would really like to make a part of your life. Don't skimp.
You can have anything you want. Make a list of all the things you
want.
Now if you are having trouble with this I suggest you trick your subconscious with my friend Victoria Gallagher's Achieve_Goals Course. Sounds Crazy But remember
Yes, You Can Have Anything You Want.

10 Ways to Empower Your Communication

Kissing the Blarney stoneImage by paulafunnell via Flickr

10 Ways to Empower Your Communication

The Blarney Stone is a historical stone, or actually part of the Blarney Castle in Ireland where it was believed that kissing the stone can grant you the gift of gab. Yeah, it seems strange in this day and age, but who are we to question tradition? It's not like I'm saying that Santa Claus doesn't exist (OOPS!).

There is so much to know about conversation that anyone, even I, could ever realize. You can go though watching talk shows; radio programs; clubs dedicated to public speaking; ordinary conversations; certain rules still apply when it comes to interaction through words. It may sound tedious, I know, but even though it's your mouth that's doing the work, your brain works twice as hard to churn out a lot of things you know. So what better way to start learning to be an effective communication is to know the very person closest to you: yourself.

1. What you know.
Education is all about learning the basics, but to be an effective speaker is to practice what you've learned. My stint as guest at every Toastmasters' meeting I go to taught me that we all have our limitations, but that doesn't mean we can't learn to keep up and share what we know.

2. Listening.
It's just as important as asking questions. Sometimes listening to the sound of our own voice can teach us to be a little bit confident with ourselves and to say the things we believe in with conviction.

3. Humility
We all make mistakes, and sometimes we tend to slur our words, stutter, and probably mispronounce certain words even though we know what it means, but rarely use it only to impress listeners. So in a group, don't be afraid to ask if you're saying the right word properly and if they're unsure about it then make a joke out of it. I promise you it'll make everyone laugh and you can get away with it as well.

4. Eye Contact
There's a lot to say when it comes to directing your attention to your audience with an eye-catching gaze. It's important that you keep your focus when talking to a large group in a meeting or a gathering, even though he or she may be gorgeous.

5. Kidding around
A little bit of humor can do wonders to lift the tension, or worse boredom when making your speech. That way, you'll get the attention of the majority of the crowd and they'll feel that you're just as approachable, and as human to those who listen.

6. Be like the rest of them
Interaction is all about mingling with other people. You'll get a lot of ideas, as well as knowing what people make them as they are.

7. Me, Myself, and I
Admit it, there are times you sing to yourself in the shower. I know I do! Listening to the sound of your own voice while you practice your speech in front of a mirror can help correct the stress areas of your pitch. And while you're at it you can spruce up as well.

8. With a smile
A smile says it all much like eye contact. There's no point on grimacing or frowning in a meeting or a gathering, unless it's a wake. You can better express what you're saying when you smile.

9. A Role Model
There must be at least one or two people in your life you have listened to when they're at a public gathering or maybe at church. Sure they read their lines, but taking a mental note of how they emphasize what they say can help you once you take center stage.

10. Preparation
Make the best out of preparation rather than just scribbling notes and often in a hurried panic. Some people like to write things down on index cards, while other resort to being a little more silly as they look at their notes written on the palm of their hand (not for clammy hands, please). Just be comfortable with what you know since you enjoy your work.

And that about wraps it up. These suggestions are rather amateurish in edgewise, but I've learned to empower myself when it comes to public or private speaking and it never hurts to be with people to listen how they make conversations and meetings far more enjoyable as well as educational.

Focus on Your Mental and Emotional Side to Gain Self Improvement

Not everyone believes this but the emotional and mental aspects of a person, when combined, leads to better self improvement.

Emotions love to dominate our actions and reactions, even though we do not want it to happen sometimes. The society often see emotions as a sign of weakness, so people are used to putting them aside and focusing on the rational aspects more and more.

No matter how strict and logical you may be, you will always feel. One way or another, someone or something will get through you.

Positive emotions are a lifelong goal for many of us concerned about emotional health and self improvement. What is more important; the amount of money you made during your life or the times you laughed out of sheer joy?

People tend to put their positive emotions behind their negative feelings. This is one of the biggest problems that people come across during their lives.

There is no clear way to ignore a negative experience and try to replace it with a positive one. Life just does not work that way.

For example, when you were a child, if your goldfish dies, you would be heartbroken. Your parents will probably buy you another goldfish but the sorrow is still there.

Things get even more complex when you become an adult. A fight with your spouse the night before will affect your entire day. You will go to work angry, tired, and your mind will wander. On the way home from work you will not notice the sun shining and you would not be tempted to stop at a roadside stand to pick up some fresh fruits and vegetables.

All this because that one negative thought has contaminated the way you perceive the reality around you.

In this moment you will realize finding a safe place to relax your mind will do wonders for your emotional and mental improvement.

That place is relatively easy to find. It can be an actual place or an imaginary location. The best idea is to totally lose yourself in it.

Let us say you have a problem on your mind and it just would not go away. Go bowling. Do not know how? Just give it a shot.

Get caught up in the game. Your mind will drift away from the negative thoughts that dominated your last hours or days and start processing a whole new kind of information.

A safe haven can take many forms. It can be a song, a movie, even a person or animal. The main thing is allow yourself to get completely involved with this new activity.

You might still get flashes of the problem every now and then. Ignore it and get even more absorbed in what you are doing.

When the bowling game, the song, or the movie ends you will abruptly return to reality. You will probably want to retreat back to the safe place. Do not do it.

The safe place exists only as a helping hand, not as a solution to your life's problems, may it be a small or big. It serves only as an escape route.

You will return from your safe zone with an increased energy level. You will feel better about yourself and gain more confidence. You will see that any issue can be resolved.

This is how a small escape from a harsh reality can increase your emotional and mental health. Try to do this often and you are on your way to better self improvement.

Aerobic Activity for the Brain By Rick Nauert

New research finds that aerobic activity may keep the brain young as scientists discover physically active elderly people showed healthier cerebral blood vessels.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine investigators will publish their findings July 9 in the American Journal of Neuroradiology.

Researchers led by Elizabeth Bullitt, M.D., Van L. Weatherspoon Distinguished Professor of neurosurgery, used non-invasive magnetic resonance (MR) angiography to examine the number and shape of blood vessels in the brains of physically active elderly people, 7 men and 7 women, ages 60 to 80.

The study subjects were equally divided into 2 groups. The high activity group reported participating in an aerobic activity for a minimum of 180 minutes per week for the past 10 consecutive years, and the low activity group told investigators they had no history of regular exercise and currently spent less than 90 minutes a week in any physical activity. (The researchers did not know into which group participants were placed.)

This is the first study to compare brain images of elderly subjects who exercise with those that do not.

Aerobically active subjects exhibited more small-diameter vessels with less tortuosity, or twisting, than the less active group, exhibiting a vessel pattern similar to younger adults.

The authors, who were sponsored in part by the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, identified significant differences in the left and right middle cerebral artery regions confirmed by more than one statistical analysis.

The brain’s blood vessels naturally narrow and become more tortuous with advancing age, but the study showed the cerebrovascular patterns of active patients appeared “younger” than those of relatively inactive subjects. The brains of these less active patients had increased tortuosity produced by vessel elongation and wider expansion curves.

The pilot study lays the foundation for future research to determine whether aerobic activity improves anatomy, if older patients with “younger” brains are more likely to engage in physical activity, and whether elderly adults who begin a program of aerobic activity can reverse the cerebrovascular, anatomic and functional changes associated with advancing age.

Yes, There is a Safe Hormone Replacement Therapy Available

Ever since the government halted its large-scale study of hormone replacement therapy, more women have been seeking alternative treatments to combat the symptoms of menopause. So what if any are the solutions?

The newest, safest and most popular is bioidentical hormone replacement.

When many today seem to think of bio-identical hormones, we automatically believe that they are only drugs compounded by the pharmacy, and that is simply not true. Bioidenticals are synthesized hormones that mimic those produced in women's ovaries, more natural than those produced from horses.

The good news is that www.bodylogicmd.com have done the research for you

You Can:
# Get natural treatments instead of taking potentially toxic drugs
# Take care of the cause of your health problem, not just get treatment of your symptoms
# Give your body what it wants and needs to get better, because your body knows how to heal itself
# Learn what you need to do to achieve optimum health by asking your own body what has to be done.

You really do want to be more informed about bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), nutrition and fitness. It’s never been clearer that really participating in your own good health will help you feel better, look younger and live a fuller and more fulfilling life.
